As the next day emerged, Danny sighed as he slowly began to wake up. At least his legs were able to get some exercise anyway. His stomach wasn't throbbing anymore, which was a relief within itself, but it was still a bit of a ways from being completely healed. Sitting up, Danny slipped himself out of bed, his eyes drifting over toward the alarm clock on his nightstand. It was around ten o'clock. His parents must've called the school already and said he wasn't going. Running his hands through his bedhead, Danny started to head downstairs.

Hearing how quiet it was in the house, Danny felt a little strange. He knew Sam, Tucker, and Jazz already headed off to school but were his parents alright? Stepping into the kitchen, he saw his mother working on some gadget on the kitchen table. His father wasn't anywhere to be seen. He probably was downstairs working on something else. She looked up from her invention and smiled.

"Morning sweetie! Are you feeling okay?" She asked with concern. Danny returned the smile and just started to get himself a bowl of cereal.

"I'm fine Mom. Sam, Tucker, and Wulf actually got a pretty big lead yesterday." He smiled. That brought up another question. "By the way, where is Wulf?" Danny merely hoped that his father hadn't thought of testing something on Wulf.

"He's downstairs with your father. He's trying to alter the Ghost Gabber so that we can understand what that ghost is saying. Jazz gave him the idea before she left for school." Maddie answered, rather cheery. It was always exciting to help out Danny in any way they could. And using the Ghost Gabber to understand Wulf? Danny had to be honest that it was a good idea.

"So are Sam and Tucker keeping you up with your homework?" She asked again. Danny sighed. He knew that question was probably going to come up in this conversation.

"Of course they're keeping me updated. Everything's fine Mom." Danny answered in a rather monotone voice. He didn't like being asked anything that was school related. He was a pretty average student himself but he often felt his parents secretly wanted him to be as great as his sister Jazz.

"That's good." She smiled. "Well if you don't mind helping me out this afternoon, I was just fixing up a new ghost weapon." Danny didn't mind helping his parents, especially his mom when she got the chance to make an invention of her own creation. He brought over his bowl of cereal and sat down next to her.

"Sure. What's it going to do?" He said, having no clue what the weapon was supposed to even look like.

"Well when it's finished, I'm hoping that it'll be able to help subdue ghosts." Maddie said, tinkering with the wiring in her device. "It's like the Specter Deflector we always use but it's on a chip you can put onto the side of a weapon, like a knife per say." Danny blinked. That actually sounded pretty useful. Most of his parents' inventions were useful sometimes but there were some of them that didn't do anything like the Fenton Anti-Creep Stick. Danny figured he could help out his mother after breakfast. He couldn't wait until Sam and Tucker came back home and they could figure out what exactly was on the Life Record.

Elijah passed through the halls of Casper High, a rather malicious smile on his face. By the look on Sam and Tucker's faces, they had no idea of his acts just yet. Oh well. Disappointment was always fun to see when hopes are set so high. For now, he had to focus on recruits. He had detention after school today so he would have a pretty good chance of rounding up some warriors. Keeping the blood crystal in his backpack to effectively control the students, he would be able to effectively control them if they got too rebellious.

Heading through the halls toward the cafeteria, he saw a few people looking at him with either admiration or terror in fear of what he might do to them if they got on his bad side. It was pretty predictable after that little incident yesterday. Heading up into line, he got his tray of disgusting food and headed over to a pretty clear table. Sitting down and setting his tray in front of him, Elijah began to eat some of his food to hold him over until this ridiculous lunch period was over. He scanned the teenagers in the lunchroom, figuring which would probably show up in detention and who would be better to attain as lackeys for later on. For now, the key part of his army was sitting in the mansion in their little formaldehyde pool.

Luckily, lunch didn't take as long as expected. The last few periods seemed to pass rather quickly as well. Elijah just tried to act like he was paying attention while he was sketching battle strategies and army formations on a scrap piece of paper he found lying around. Once the final bell rang and almost everyone headed home, Elijah headed over to Mr. Lancer's room for detention.

Once he was in a seat and he was pretty well surrounded by a few brutes and eerie looking people, Elijah made sure that Mr. Lancer was not looking in his general direction for the moment. In that instant, he quickly slipped his hand into his backpack to pull out the blood crystal. Setting it onto his leg, he began to mutter a small spell to activate another power.

"May the hands of time stand still under my command. Absorb the powers of the one I've imprisoned, and with his dear abilities, make minutes cease and the world turn to silence. With the powers that be, I command that time completely immobilize to my will." With that, Clockwork felt the pain surging through his body once more. It was not as great as before when Elijah was summoning the dead but it was still great nonetheless. Suddenly, time completely stood still in the classroom. Lancer's postion stood still and the rather rowdy crowd looked like a video just paused. Elijah smirked and held the orb in his hand as he went to the front of the classroom.

"Hmm…decisions, decisions…" Elijah said as his eyes scanned over the teenagers. "Which do you think would be a powerful followers Clockwork?" He asked. The Ghost of Time could not speak obviously, having been dealt the pain of the blood crystal looking over toward Elijah was all he could do. He could not possibly do anything else. Elijah suddenly snapped his fingers.

"Perfect! We should have a contest!" He said as he headed through the room. "All of these adolescents will be put through a test to see just who can be worthy of standing beside me in battle. The only question is whether it should be done the old fashioned way or the easy way." He raised the crystal again. Elijah knew he was putting Clockwork through hell by doing this so soon. Elijah's eyes turned a brimming red as he suddenly teleported the teenagers to his mansion. By doing so, the time spell was broken and everyone sprung back to life. Well, in Mr. Lancer's case, sprung out of his seat.

"The Invisible Man! Where the heck did everyone go?!" He cried.

Danny smiled when he saw Sam, Tucker, and Jazz at the door. He quickly handed his mother the wrench she asked for and headed as quickly as he could to them. Jazz sighed and shook her head. Her brother was pretty reckless sometimes. Sam and Tucker though were glad to see that Danny was honestly doing better. Sam saw that the color was almost completely back to Danny's face, which was a sweet relief.

"So is Wulf okay?" Sam asked. Danny turned around back toward the kitchen. There was Wulf, sitting at the table, rather reluctantly. He brightened up when he saw Sam and Tucker come in.

"Mi pravas tie ĉi amikoj!" He said with a smile. Jack held the Ghost Gabber in front of him and it instantly translated.

"I'm right here friends!" The mechanical voice uttered from the machine. Jack smiled and jumped out of his seat with delight. Wulf was a little relieved that he was no longer an experiment anymore.

"That's pretty impressive Dad." Jazz said, which was pretty rare of her to say. She was pretty reluctant to admit that her parents actually knew what they were doing. Jack beamed at the compliment and went to see if he could make some more upgrades to the Ghost Gabber, such as translating other languages.

"So Mom, we're going to see if we can get this thing translated alright?" Danny said as he moved toward the stairs, hoping she wouldn't stop him.

"Just be careful Danny! And listen to your sister!" Maddie said with a smile. With that, Danny let out an exasperated sigh, obviously not liking the idea of having to practically do everything his sister told him to do. However, he'd probably just go along with it so his parents would let him out of the house. He was getting a little tired of doing nothing these past few days.

As Sam, Tucker, and Jazz headed inside of the Specter Speeder, Danny stood on the outside with Wulf. He let out a sigh and hoped that his wounds healed up enough. With eyes blazing, he raised his arms and yelled out his signature battle cry.

"Going ghost!"

With that, the two white rings appeared around Danny's waist, splitting apart to head vertically away from each other. Danny's appearance changed to his ghost one, with white hair and green eyes. Seeing that nothing painful happened, Danny nodded to Tucker and they all headed into the Ghost Zone.

As they headed toward Clockwork's tower, they were all very excited to see if they could finally crack this mystery of who this ghost was and what his plan would be. Sam was looking over the Life Record, wondering what would be on it while Danny was relishing the fact that he only feeling a slight dull ache in his stomach. It wasn't as painful as before. It felt like an eternity before they got to Clockwork's tower but when they got there, their hearts all sunk.

Clockwork's tower was completely destroyed, now just a giant mass of rubble and glass. Broken clocks were everywhere and scorch marks completely covered everything. Everyone was speechless. Everything was gone. Needless to say, there was no way to read the Life Record now…
Oh Elijah, you troll! Looks like he caught onto Danny's little plan!

You see children?! This is what happens when you procrastinate!!!! :evillaugh: lol jk

What will they do now? Is all hope lost? Will Clockwork ever get out of that crystal magic 8 ball?
