As they neared the land of the Far Frozen, Danny hoped that Technus would be able to make a machine to read that Life Record. Time was running out and everything seemed to be going rather badly for them. First Clockwork is missing, then he gets himself stabbed by a powerful ghost, and then the only clue to finding Clockwork is a pile of ashes. They were hanging in a fine line at this point. He just hoped that Frostbite was okay.

"So what do you think it came from?" Sam asked, snapping Danny out of his daze. This whole predicament was making him a little lightheaded.

"What'd you say Sam?" Danny asked, a little apologetic for not paying attention. So many things were on his mind lately.

"What Wulf smelled earlier? The poisons?" Sam repeated. Wulf had caught the scent of some pretty strong poisons earlier. It was something off that Wulf hadn't picked up until now. They would've tried to track it but Wulf had said that whoever left it had long since passed. There was no point of tracking it down. It would be like tracking down a tornado that ravaged a city seven years ago.

"I'm not sure where it came from but we shouldn't worry about it now." Danny decided, crossing his arms. "Once we get someone or something to help us against that ghost, we can find Clockwork and he can help us with the poison problem." With that, they went slightly faster toward Frostbite's domain.

Nearing the freezing cold temperatures of Frostbite's ice and snow covered realm, Danny looked around with a small smirk on his face. He remembered when he first came here and encountered Frostbite. He was ferocious at first but he was only that way because of an ice thorn in his side. Once Danny got it off of him, he returned to his friendly temperament. Now, everything was just so barren and frigid cold, Danny wondered if he was even here.

Turning around a few snow-covered hills and even crossing a frozen lake, they finally found Frostbite. He was with some of the other Far Frozen, probably discussing private matters. When they saw that Danny had returned, Frostbite smiled and headed over to him.

"Glad to see you return, O Great One!" Frostbite smiled as he knelt down toward the boy. He was glad that he was alright. Standing back up, he saw that Sam, Tucker, and Wulf had returned as well. He nodded to them as well and turned to Danny.

"So, have your wounds been recovering well, Great One?" Frostbite asked, remembering very clearly that he had been previously been wounded in battle. Danny nodded and showed him the scar that was forming on his stomach. It was a lucky break but he felt he wouldn't have been so lucky if that sword stabbed him further in. Frostbite had a worried look on his face. After checking over the scar, Frostbite smiled.

"Well it's always reassuring to see you live and well, Great One." He smiled. Danny was thankful that he was so concerned about his well-being. "So what brings you to the land of the Far Frozen?" He asked, wondering if they needed any assistance.

"Actually Frostbite, we were wondering if you knew of anything or anyone that could possibly take down this ghost we're facing. He was able to evade the Fenton Thermos and I'm afraid if I use my Ghostly Wail, he'll just find a way to dodge it too and take me down in my human form. Do you have any ideas?" Danny asked, thinking that this might turn out for the better.

"Well, there is one place that I can think of." Frostbite answered. "Follow me, Great One." He said, heading toward the shrine that was dedicated to Danny. Sam, Tucker, and Wulf followed close behind. Near the back of the cave, there were several priceless treasures, including the chest that contained the Infi-Map, the complete map to the Ghost Zone. As the four of them neared it, Frostbite moved his paw over the panel, causing in the chest to open and the Infi-Map to unravel, showing the map in almost its entirety.

"Here we are. The land of the Far Frozen." Frostbite said as he set the map near the ground, not wanting them all to take an unexpected trip throughout the Ghost Zone. Wulf sniffed it but Tucker made sure to warn him if he was getting too close. "Now, the thing you seek to help you in this battle should be around here." Frostbite said, pointing his claw toward one area on the map. Danny, Sam, Tucker, and Wulf looked closer. That place looked like a white chapel with gold decorations. It was rather beautiful and seemed rather large.

"Although the Far Frozen are indeed encharged to protect and study the Infi-Map, I'm not familiar with this place. Compared to the other regions in the Ghost Zone, this one is fairly new. It only appeared in the last several hundred years." Frostbite explained. "I have heard rumors that there's a possible sword inside of that realm that could aide you in your problem. However, this is only speculation, seeing as no ghost that has ever gone near the realm had any recollection of ever visiting it soon after they went inside."

"So the realm tries to enact amnesia?" Danny asked, trying to clarify. That wasn't a promising sign but it was their only lead. Unless they wanted to steal the Soul Shredder and have the off chance of  the Fright Knight destroying Amity Park along with the ghost and his army, taking their chances with this possible lead would be better than fighting blind.

"Precisely." Frostbite nodded. "This place obviously does not want to seek harm on the travelers that approach it but it does not encourage them either. If you decide to visit this realm, I must urge you to tread with caution, O Great One. This goes the same for your friends. Even though they may be human, and almost completely impervious in the Ghost Zone, I can't say for certain if the realm will try to erase their memories as well."

"Got it. Thanks for everything Frostbite." Danny said with a small smile.

"Do not worry about it, Great One." Frostbite replied anxiously. "It is with great honor that I assist you and your friends on your quest." Danny smiled then turned toward the map again. "Hey, wait a minute…" He noted. Frostbite, Sam, Tucker, and Wulf looked down, wondering what he was looking at.

"This building…where have I seen this before?" He said, pointing to the icon. It was a large shining building that looked fairly complex. From what he could see, the top of the building had two towers, each having a pair of long windows. The center of the building had a circular window that looked like it was made out of stained glass. The whole building seemed familiar but he couldn't place it. Sam's eyes went wide she saw the building. She knew exactly what the building was.

"That's not just any building! That's Notre Dame!" Sam exclaimed. Tucker was pretty impressed while Danny, Wulf, and Frostbite looked a little lost.

"Kio estas tio?" Wulf asked. Sam was willing to explain to Wulf and Frostbite but seeing Danny was eager to remember was a little surprising. But then again, he mostly got D's in history so it was easy to see why he was confused. The only quote throughout history he remembered was, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself."

"Notre Dame is a church in France. The name means "Our Lady" in French, referencing to the Holy Virgin Mary. The building is considered one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture." Sam explained.

"Oh yeah! That's where that Disney movie Hunchback of Notre Dame was made right?" Danny asked. Sam sighed. It was pretty typical that Danny only knew that fact about Notre Dame.

"Yes Danny, but the movie was based on the book written by Victor Hugo." Sam answered. "But why would there be an amnesia-causing barrier around that area?" She inquired.

"Well like you previously stated, it is a sacred place. Sometimes very sacred places have to be protected from intruders." Frostbite said, not truly knowing the answer. "Perhaps there is a powerful warrior or ghost that is fixated to that place that prefers to keep it sacred." Meanwhile, Tucker was looking up something on his PDA.

"Well there're quite a few ghosts that might be able to help us. There's actually one ghost who might have the battle experience we're looking for." Tucker said, looking through the web page he brought up on his PDA. Danny, Sam, Wulf, and Frostbite leaned in to listen.

"It says here one woman was canonized at Notre Dame a long time after she was executed. She helped lead France to victory in the Hundred Years War but they were convinced she was a witch and burned her at the stake. After realizing that the execution was a mistake, they blessed her and named her as a saint. Her name was…Jehanne d'Arc…"
Well they went to go find Frostbite and have a possible lead. Now, they have to see if they can get into the realm and possibly get help from Jeanne d'Arc.

Now for all of you people that are very religious, I was merely inspired by Deadliest Warrior to include Joan of Arc. I'm not harming her legacy in any way and if I make a few historical errors, please do not rant about how I'm wrong and a terrible person for getting it wrong. Like I said, my wrist has been in pain and it hurts to type sometimes. Everyone makes mistakes. Please enjoy the story! ^^
